PENERAPAN REWARD DAN PUNISHMENT TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR PEMELIHARAAN TEKSTIL SISWA TATA BUSANA FASE F DI SMKN 8 SURABAYA

The low interest in learning fashion design students on theoretical materials, one of which is textile maintenance, has affected their learning outcomes. This condition highlights the need for the implementation of instructional methods that can enhance students learning interest. This study aimed to investigate the implementation of the reward and punishment method in textile maintenance learning among phase F fashion study students at SMK Negeri 8 Surabaya and to examine students learning interest following the implementation of the method. A quantitative research approach was employed using observation and questionnaires as the research instruments. The study involved 32 students as the research sample. The findings revealed that the implementation of the reward and punishment method can be used as an effective instructional strategy to promote students learning interest, although several indicators of learning interest still require further improvement. This was evidenced by an observation score of 90%, categorized as very good, and a learning interest questionnaire score of 86%, categorized as very high. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the reward and punishment method contributes positively to improving students learning interest in the learning process
