PELATIHAN MENGAJAR MAHASISWA CALON GURU MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH MELALUI PROGRAM MICROTEACHING

Abstract

21st-century education requires teachers not only to master subject matter, but also to possess pedagogical competence, communication skills, classroom management abilities, and the capacity to effectively utilize educational technology. Students preparing to become Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers, as future agents of education, also face various challenges in developing their teaching competencies. Most students still have limitations in designing instructional materials, managing classrooms, selecting appropriate teaching strategies, and building self-confidence when teaching in front of a class. The purpose of this community service program is to improve the pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies of prospective teacher students so that they are better prepared to face teaching practice in schools. This community service activity was carried out using demonstration methods, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and direct practice. The results of the program indicate that this community service initiative, through teaching training using microteaching, can enhance the teaching skills of prospective Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teacher students. This can be seen from the fact that students have begun to effectively apply the nine basic teaching skills in the teaching and learning process. In addition, prospective Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers have also demonstrated the ability to prepare teaching administration properly. It can be concluded that this community service program, with the theme of teaching training for prospective Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers through a microteaching program, is highly effective in improving the teaching skills of prospective teachers
